Good afternoon fellow overthinkers.

It seems to me that people have trouble with various partial hanging/night-night methods because they want a very quick loss of consciousness via carotid artery compression, and they can't find the carotid arteries adequately.

If you watch or know anything about fighting/mma/etc, it is pretty simple to render someone unconscious with a blood choke - and we all know that if it were held longer, the person would die.

How about this. Instead of the more even pressure the Night Night method applies to the neck, and attempting to use bags or something placed over carotid arteries - why not use something that more simulates an actual blood choke submission?

My idea would be to use two boards. You would simply nail them together on one end, making a V shape. You place the "V" shape on your neck, just as to forearms would be in a submission. The crux of the "V" would be under your chin, placing no pressure on the windpipe. You then put a ratchet around the other end of the V (as close to the back of your head as possible) and start ratcheting so to tightens the boards, just as in a submission.

After thinking about it, 2x4s or something might be kind of flat unless you could have an edge up against your neck.

Actually, a long piece of rebarb would probably work best, as you wouldn't need to attach two of them, just buy a long piece and bend it in half, making a V shape. Then, as above, ratchet down the open end, until you pass out. Probably should be done from a sitting, or laying down position, so you don't fall and bump the contraption out of place?

Plausible? Or no? What do you guys think?
