What do y'all watch/read as comfort media? Most depictions of suicide are high-key not accurate and it pisses me off

I really like Evangelion and this one fanfic that really hits different

An Elephant Sitting Still is a cold, grim, depressing, hopeless slow burn movie. The mood is not just reflective of the bleak lives of many in modern China but the mind of the director, Hu Bo, who would kill himself following the film's completion and before its release making it his only feature film. Highly recommend if you like to be comforted with a blanket of misery but it's low budget, slow (90 shots over 4 hours), and in chinese. Available for free on Internet Archive.
