Even though I'm clean and sober now, I crave to just numb myself with pills and booze. Every day I have about 50 thoughts and daydreams about drinking or snorting crushed opioid pills. Buying groceries and passing the liquor section is hard and takes strong willpower. And the sad part is that I have only enjoyed the fun of drugs and drinking for less than a year and already it messed up so much and I had to stop. But the cravings... shit, they last.
If you've never tried, just don't even try. Because the brain seems to forever remember how easy it was to numb itself with substances. Just say no.
