Hello everyone, this is my first post here.

I want to fully understand the legal risks involved in importing sodium nitrite to Ontario, Canada. I've tried to do research regarding this, but it has been inconclusive. I have also searched this forum for information. If anyone could provide insight (preferably with a reliable and objective source) I would appreciate it. I found it listed on of controlled substances on a government website, but they did not make the legal penalties clear, if any.

In the mean time, I will try to find out on my own. Any contingency plans for the substance being discovered would also be appreciated. I live in a big apartment (20 floors) and wouldn't want the landlords / intendants knowing. I'd also like to keep my criminal record clean.

I know places that ship SN to Canada are quite rare. I haven't been able to find any place that will. I have heard that having the SN shipped to a 3rd party company which will then ship it to me may be a viable option. I believe mentioning specific companies is not allowed here, is there a way to discuss it privately?

I apologize if I missed the answers to these questions during my search.

Thank you.

EDIT: I should clarify, when I mean 3rd party, I mean an official company operating within the law. There are certain companies that offer a service to ship US only items out of America. You order the item and make the shipping address the one the company has instead of your own, and for a fee, they will then ship it to you via mail. So essentially, I would by SN, have it shipped to them, then pay them to send it to me.

Hi fellow Canadian, I've also done my research. I, too, find it inconclusive. I found no one getting arrested or sentenced for SN. Oddly enough, the only Canadian news article that is relevant to crime and SN is this article. This happened in China, not Canada. I would assume it's legal to possess SN. I've checked the Criminal Code, as well as the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act regarding about SN, nowhere was it listed or explicitly mentioned there. I have yet to research case laws regarding possessing SN.

As for acquiring it, well, I have no idea. The best bet is to go to USA, get it from there, then CTB there. Sad, I know, but this is one of the few ways to do it.

Usually customs websites have a list of what can be imported into the country, what can be imported with restrictions, and so on.

I am unable to travel to America due to circumstances. What do you think about the concept of using a 3rd party to receive and then pass it on to me? Is it viable? Any members here who are able to vouch? Thanks.

I'll try taking a look at what customs websites I can find. Thanks.

Not sure if that's a good idea. To this day, we don't know how CBSA will react. If they see a white powder during their inspection, they'll be suspicious for sure. I know as much as you do. Sorry if this does not help much. Smugglers are not trustworthy people to start with, and it's hard to find reputable ones.

Personally, I think that you'll get more chance with N. At least there is a reputable distributor for it. Plenty of Canadian got it after many tries.

I had a chance to talk to a fellow Canadian on what it was like when RCMP visited her for SN. Here is the thread if you would like to know how it's like. I'm sorry if I didn't give you information you'd like to know.

Best of luck, buddy.

I'll take any support I can get, I appreciate it.

Ill check the N megathread and look into that.

Best of luck to you too.

It's illegal. Nembutal falls under pentobarbital. According to the Controlled Drug and Substances, pentobarbital is illegal under Schedule IV. You could be held liable for possessing one. I'll look on the bright side. Canada is getting sensitive with drug addiction. I'd say in ten years time, drugs could be decriminalized.

We have an opioid crisis, and it has been exacerbated by the pandemic. The Government of British Columbia has formally requested decriminalization of simple possession of drugs to the federal government. It's just a matter of time that the other provincial governments will follow suit. The current sitting Liberal government by Justin Trudeau will certainly listen, but there's a chance that he won't approve. He legalized marijuana, but his successors will approve decriminalization.

Some SS users from Canada CTB by N, and they weren't detected by law enforcement by luck. If you're going to order, I hope you have a plan in place. Maybe the police will not charge you and force you into PSYC ward, or not. Currently, the Canadian police, by public opinion, are shifting their focus away from harsh crackdown to compassionate focus for persons with drug addiction. But don't quote me on that. I'm wishing you luck.

Yeah, I've tried looking, searching and can't find it, in Canada physical trauma is my only option.

New account but have been lurking here for a while. Tried to PM you but it wouldn't let me. Would you mind PMing me? I'm in Canada and getting desperate since so many options aren't easily available here.
