I've given up on forums

This forum aside, I've realized that one of my most suicidal sets of feelings and areas of despair has been when I am on forums. It appears that the very worst episodes of humanity is the world of the forum.

What forums were you on if you don't mind me asking?

I have been on various forums over the years but this is the only one that has any meaning to me now. All forums will tend to have a certain culture, to be an echo chamber in certain respects and to be a world of its own that would not be very relatable from an outsider's point-of-view. Perspective gets lost. At least this forum is far less hierarchical and does not demand tiresome insincerity.

I hate the pressure to be positive and feel good. I didn't reply a text from an offline friend because of that pressure... I feel safe here.
