It's my right to die..so why do I feel like I need permission from those around me..as long as I find this the best decision for me why do I need others approval..

I agree it is your right and it is a matter of bodily autonomy, but at the end of the day you do not want to hurt those around you. At the same time, if you experience suicidal ideation, you are likely dealing with a level of pain that nobody around you understands, and they can only experience in a secondhand sense. This is the greatest tension: when does the weight of your firsthand suffering outweigh that off the grief you will inflict on others after you end your life? Obviously, far more people will be harmed if you die than if you lived. However, none of those people have to live your life, either... only you have that burden/blessing. This, I think, is the greatest tension in suicide and why many feel the need to seek permission to die.
