• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    šŸ‘‰ View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I want to backpack somewhere. Preferably inside EU. I want to move. But I'm struggling with first accommodation until I can find a job or settle working self employed.

You could look into workaway.info, too? There are a lot of places with different arrangements for you to stay in a family in exchange for helping them with some stuff, or work on a farm. There's all kinds of stuff. Some pay a small amount, others it's work in exchange for food and a place to stay. I think this can be better than couchsurfing in some ways. Wwoofing is another one. You can browse these without joining, but if you decide to contact someone you have to join.

Crap man I was too slow brained to reply and worried i had the wrong link.... I have never vetted any of the suggested 3 organizations so i don't know how good they are, but just be safe ok? Get the local authority contact info or embassy or whatever for where you are moving and know the cons okay? Really wish you safe travels.

I will, I've heard of Woofing before. Going to look at these sites tomorrow.
Gotta get a passport.

I'm not going to lie. I'm actually appealed. If I could find a way to travel long distance I would honestly do this myself.

I was in conversation with someone, but lost my PM :(

I'll have £320 and my gaming PC to sell (worth maybe £500-£600), so total £1k roughly.
Give me some ideas what I should do. Passport is roughly £70.
Like the idea of volunteering on the sites listed above.

Thanks for comment on Helpx, have you travelled before?

I've done some Helping and Woofing before. Can be interesting, lots of good places in the UK as well as all over Europe. Lots of weeding, planting, working in hostels and some beekeeping. It's a way to see the world.
