Discussion Is Partial Hanging Actually Reliable?

I'm very, very worried about whether I'll succeed or not. I don't have a full plan set out, but I'm certain in my decision and have been thinking about it for a while. I am away from my ctb location, for anyone who may ask.

Is Partial Hanging reliable? What are the chances I might fail, and how would those happen? That is the most important question to be answered for my plan. I want to go about this as logically as I can, and avoid mistakes where possible. Please help! Thank you to everyone who may answer.

A lot of people die this way every year.
Are they messing around and it is accidental?
Is it spontaneous and they just power into it with no reservations?
We know it works but the results are difficult to reproduce.

It's reliable in the sense that it's confirmed to work as advertised, the problem is it's much harder to do right than full suspension.

Many people including me have very hard time to find the sweet spot. I did find it eventually but personally, I don't trust myself enough not to pussy out when all I need to do is standing up.

Full suspension seems more fool proof imo.

SI hasn't stopped me too much, I expect it to be worse the day of. Worried about the 'sweet spot' though, id imagine having a more prominent Adam's apple would make it easier.

Partial Hanging is a little more complicated to do because you're not applying your full weight while in contact with the ground. To do this, you'll need to find a position that allows you to apply enough weight to block the carotid arteries and lose consciousness. Also, an anchor point that is too low will not serve you.

It seems to be said that I should be able to feel a pulse where they are but I can't feel anything . Any tips ?
