Is Mylanta a wise antacid to use?

Obviously it's a dense cream and has an anti gas component. I don't know if that's advantageous or disadvantageous? Would chewable Tums be wiser? And if so how much? Is there any guidance on antacids?

It might not be the best antacid, as it coats, so could delay absorption. Just a best guess
