I've tried partial suspension hanging many times now, and it doesn't seem to work for me (I'm still here). I'll have to try full suspension. I can buy new rope if this one isn't considered to be strong enough.
depends on the type of rope. actually give me a sec. i have a thread where i asked the same question only about a 6mm rope. but the answer should help you too.
Thin rope would be uncomfortable and painful. The rope will be strong enough but way too thin. My rope is much thicker, it is 13 mm. I am using a soft hemp so it will be as comfortable as possible.
