So I'm meeting up with a man, I havent felt love for a long time like couple of years. I think this is it. He cures my world.. but I don't know how to tell him about my abusive mother that I live with. I can't invite him to my place and I don't call when she is around me because she listens to my phone convos. My mother is crazy and had domestic abuse case. I'm afraid she sees him and does something crazy and I'm afraid ill tell him and he leaves me because of it.. would you leave a girl you feel wonderful with because she would tell you this? Because she has abusive mother? I dont know what to do, but he has to know if we are going to be together. Im so afraid i want to cry. It would be easier if i didnt live with her and im still at her house.. please help me what do i do? And how do i tell him? Will he understand? How would i look? I think i love him

I highly doubt he would leave you over this, and if he does, then he wasn't worthwhile to begin with. A good guy / person / love interest / what have you would likely be inclined to support you through what your mother puts you through instead of abandoning you over it. Hoping it goes well

Cute is a small word. He is loving caring funny, I was trying dating for a loong time probably 3 years. I kicked so many of toxic people during this time. Abandon someone for having an abusive mother? Both my exes did and so do I, we stuck it out until other stuff got in the way lol. As for how to tell him... Good question. Ask if he would judge someone for not being close to a parent? idk, I fear I'm not being much help rn

I left the first cuz he started treating me like a stranger, the second left me because I'd started being mean to him cuz I was mad he didn't listen to me. Our moms pretty much didn't factor in at all beyond making all of us crazy lmao

If someone made me feel like that then no, I wouldn't leave them - my first thought would be protecting them.
The thing that might be an issue is if the mother became a threat to my safety.

We all trauma dumped on each other lmao, it was surprisingly easy once we'd gotten to the stage of venting to each other about stuff. They were supportive at the time, and I supported them in their troubles with their moms as well.
