It was difficult to add in the title really- obviously, a spoiler alert...
In the film: 'Passengers' the main character awakens from space sleep 90 years too early after the ship is hit by an asteroid and malfunctions. After a year alone, he decides to wake up another passenger for company. Probably not uncoincidentally, a female he finds really attractive.
In the same situation- firstly- would you be tempted to wake anyone else up? Or, would you have a great time exploring the space ship on your own? Would you try to jail break any of the facilities? The ship offers varying class accomodation. Do you think you'd crave the company of others? There is an android barman to chat to. Do you suppose you'd actually wake someone up for company? Either crew or passengers?
I'm fairly isolated in this life although, not entirely by any means. I have this feeling that I would be ok alone but then, I've not really known what it's like to be entirely alone. I hope I wouldn't wake up either passenger or crew though- unless the ship was actually in danger.
I reckon I'd jail break what I could in terms of luxury travel though. If I wasn't travelling higher class, I'd see it that they owed me that for waking me up too soon.
How about you? Would having a huge luxury space ship to yourself feel like a dream or a nightmare?
