  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

You can choose up to three people and explain why, if you'd like. You get one conversation with them. For the sake of this hypothetical, let's assume that anyone you name is not disturbed by the conversation (if I were dead and someone summoned me to chat, I'd be pissed). So, no need to worry about that aspect they're still at peace.

I'll go first:

Emily Dickinson — She had a fascinating mind, and I love her poetry. She often contemplated death and was low key an OG hikikomori back in the 19th century, so I think we would vibe.

My friend — For obvious reasons, we had great times together. They passed away young in a horrible and unexpected way, and I would love to just laugh with them again.

My cat — I literally attempted when my cat passed away when I was 14… lol, but not lol. Also don't mention he's not a person and can't talk, he's on my list I don't care >:(

James Dean because he was cool. My grandpa because he was fun and I miss him and he died when I was young. Hitler, just to find out what the fuck he was thinking.

  1. Karl Marx, because I would've liked to show him what the modern world looks like and see if he can fit it into his philosophical framework or if he feels compelled to revise it. Also he's just crazy smart.
  2. Carl Sagan. Would love to know what he thought about the way COVID was handled as well as the ascendancy of Trump, maybe also the influence of privately-owned companies in space (ex. SpaceX, Blue Origin, etc.)
  3. My pre-depression self. Would like to just sit down with her, ask her how her day was, what she did today, what she's looking forward to, what made her feel good today, witness her in all her lively splendour. I consider this version of myself to have died many years ago. But if this answer is cheating then maybe Jesus lol.

  1. Ludwig van Beethoven. I wanna play him some dubstep and see what he thinks. I think he might like it.
  2. Jeffrey Epstein. I wanna ask him if he really killed himself or was assassinated by a prison security guard.
  3. Isaac Newton. I wanna watch a science documentary on Einstein's theory of relativity with him and watch his mind get blown.

I love the idea so much. The awful thing is, I can't really think of anyone. Well, I can but, I don't really know what I'd say to them. I guess stuff like this makes me think I truly am done with this world. I just don't want the effort of talking to anyone! Not honestly anyway. Suicide would be bound to crop up.

I would have said my Mum (she died when I was 3.) But really, it would probably just upset the both of us now, if we talked. I could actually fill the list with deceased family members. But again, I just feel withdrawn from life now, which they would likely find distressing.

Maybe Jesus would be good. Try and get some facts straightened out. There are loads of people I really admire who are now gone but, I've no idea what I'd say to them.

I would have said Vincent van Gogh at one stage. Mainly to tell him that he eventually was appreciated. Like that cool scene in Dr. Who.

Maybe I'd try to help some unsolved crimes. Talk to some people who disappeared and were presumed dead. The Marion Barter disappearance is a good example. It would be good to be able to give her family closure.
