There might be no window. There are people who want to keep other people alive. They might ban the idea of window altogether.

I agree, the SI can make suicide very difficult. I think that if there was no SI the less than ideal methods would be easier. Of course it's hard to die as even know we want to leave we are programmed to survive. The human body is designed to torture us and I think that for me escaping from it is the best thing possible.
