What feels impossible? The looking for work itself or finding something that is either fun /enjoyable or that you have a passion for? Its tough to find a job, especially one that you will enjoy. But it's far from impossible & something you probably can do if ur dedicated. ~wishing you a good day & best luck.

quite a task, been there. the only thing I could get, was software quality... and now im training for software testing automation... it aint easy
my employeer doesnt know I might ctb soon...
I'll be a bad investment... damm.. but that's the least thing to worry about

Same here. Where I live there are very few jobs to begin with let alone ones I can tolerate/enjoy. Its just so disheartening to get rejection or never get called for basic jobs im beyond qualified to do.

An enjoyable job feel like finding a unicorn. Ironically enough, the only jobs I'm qualified to do are the ones who require dealing with people the most.

Yeah, I do remember reading that. It's been in my thoughts... You're right in that we shouldn't base our self-worth on being employed or not. It's hard not to do though. Working used to be ALL that I ever did in my life. I was a workaholic and probably averaged 50-60 hours a week for almost 10 years. I honestly felt just as empty and worthless back then... but I didn't have much time to think about it.

Other people here are making good points by the way... If you're looking for a "fun job", you're probably going to be disappointed. Work is often not fun. Sad but true.

I also miss working, my job was pretty defining for me I didn't even mind the hours or shit pay or assholes. Certainly was not fun, far from it, but it was immensely fulfilling. Satisfaction may be the best you are going to get if you can't have fun. Sitting around in my dressing gown playing assassins creed until my eyes bleed while vomiting in a bucket is not in comparison, I honestly think it is driving me insane so I ramble on here. This existence feels empty and I am watching the concept of work itself steadily erode down to becoming hand to mouth and not a stepping stone to experiences you want. It used to let you thrive now it seems like it just about keeps the light switched on as the pension age is further pushed back and workers rights to not be treated likes slaves is further eroded. I honestly have pity for the youth and the cesspit they are inheriting.

Well, I just feel like I don't really know what to look for now that the plans that I had have failed. I don't know how to explain why I haven't had anything but patchy jobs because of being hospitalised for a series of months every year for the past few years and my plan was always to do a degree, but these hospitalisations interfered with that. I really don't want to have to talk to a stranger about something as personal as that. So I feel very anxious about the whole business really. I would honestly rather ctb than face anything else, going back to study or working, staying at home wondering how I'm ever going to be able to function independently. I'd rather not be here. But maybe I should try something. Also can't drive and a lot of what's available requires a driving license. Thanks! Hope you have a good day too.
