Story I think tonight is the night

I've been building up for a few nights but tonight is as good a night as any.

This last three days I've been trying to treat myself like a king. I've had an expensive haircut/shave, have eaten exactly what I have wanted to eat and last night I pulled the cork on an expensive bottle of wine that was given to me as a gift.

Some of my money has gone to a couple of causes that I care about. The rest will pay for disposal.

I'm not nervous about what I play to do, although might feel different later.

Next to the bed will be an old phone with the display set to not shut off with a picture of the love of my life. Her name is Joe and I go hoping that one day we will be reunited.

I was in the same position many years ago, but I cut my wrists wide open, instead. I just kept cutting, when the bleeding stopped.

Anyway, I've gone on to have some amazing relationships, with some amazing girls. Kelly will always have a place in my heart, but she is now joined by many others.

Also, it's a miserable day today (you're in the same town as me, remember ) so I'd say that tonight is not "as good a night as any."

Instead, use that fresh haircut & shave to get out there & meet someone new. I have come to learn that the best way to overcome the loss of someone, is to meet someone new.

If you're going to do it, do it for the right reason.
