Title. Think about tic tac toe, the solved game, instead of being happy with it, humans invented new games and new things to be better at than others. This goes on in everything in life not only games. So now my question is, why should I , who already know that this pointless competition is; well... pointless, even talk with other humans? There is no reason to; humans are and have always been using eachother to push themselves above one another, why? to feel good. That's the only reason. And I do not want that , I know my brain still works the same and I could perfectly do the same thing but I don't want to succumb to my idiotic and tribalistic nature so sayonara other people I guess.

I understand your point, and it's a good one, but how about instead of isolation, we interact with people that are willing to go above their outdated animal instincts instead of generalizing? There are plenty of things people do that is not for the sake of feeling superior. And let's not forget that existence is analog, as in, there is no people going 100% instinct or 100% humane. Everyone is always between one or the other.

As an autistic person, it is hard for me to think without going to the absolutes, but I try my best, because generalizing is usually not very good at actually assessing individual people.

Still, I understand why you would think like you do, so don't take it as a negation of your thoughts, but rather as another side of the coin. 🧸

I agree, you could do that, but where do you even find these people? I live in a very backwards country. I also don't like to trial and error online because it feels like I'm just using people, I honestly stopped bothering but every interaction I have either with people at the store or family/extended family is always ending in dissappointment.

You can't read minds, man, you'll have to risk it. I don't think interacting with people willing to do so is using them, but you do you.

Tell me about it.

Look, the thing is, you need to try. You won't find diamonds in the rough if you don't actually get into the fray yourself. The worst people are the loudest (Specially online), but don't think they speak for everyone else. If people had the same as your mentality, you wouldn't even have responses to your own thread! The fact you made it means you know deep down some people are not as bad as you think they are.

The instances I thought like you do there is when I was in deep pain. It was a reaction, a way to protect myself from further harm, and while it does in the short term, it starts making you feel more isolated with time. I hope it's just a temporary thing for you, friend, and you feel better soon. 🧸

People in general are not that bad. But in society, people fight every day, and they will trample you without hesitation.

The first thing we did after building civilization was start roleplaying ants. It's not natural - we are herd animals, not swarm animals.

Regardless of what kind of animal we are, we have something that makes us able to overcome these instincts. It's called intelligence and conscience. We've gone far and beyond anything our animal selves could, now we need to go beyond in another way: In overcoming the animalistic nature that makes us the hateful beings in the first place.

I was in the fray , quite a bit actually and not only online but outside too, jobs and university and even highschool/middle school years ago. I know that there are many people with similar mentalities here; in real life? I'm not so sure , even if they have them , they hide them well, I mean I know that most people are not totally bad but the parts of them that they choose to manifest as "bad" let's say make them utterly vile in my eyes.

And even if I wasn't in "pain", I'm not in pain, I genuinely don't like people and society, it's not some call for help or anything like that.
