This is a bunch of BS based on the faulty assumption that there is no surplus labor to replace that production. Unless there is 100% employment, it just means a job opportunity for someone who was otherwise unemployed. It's not like when a worker commits suicide the company dissolves the job, they just find some other pleb to replace them. It also makes the assumption that all suicides are by otherwise active contributors to the economy when in reality many are committed by people who are not working and are receiving both basic survival benefits as well as healthcare related benefits due to their fight with mental illness.
All that being said, it's just another example of a world that views human life as having no more value than an entry on a ledgersheet which is part of the problem imo.
