I remember when I was a kid I fell into a pool. i was not scared or something, i remember I was underwater just seeing the pool floor thinking "Oh, so I'm going to die?" So whatever, I wasn't panicking at all, I accepted my death immediately so I just closed my eyes. I unfortunately survived because someone took me out of the water.

I forgot about that like for my entire life until I got depresion. I think that I should have definitely die in that pool, I was so in peace with myself, I still didn't know what suffering was at that age and overall I was happy.

I also recently got a dream of me drowning and then going to a weird limbo. I was like in a cave with little light and there was money everywhere. I was just chilling there until some silent hill creatures started taking all the money and putting it in my bags. Then the creatures started eating my body and I "died."

I don't know why I'm telling you guys this but well I thought it was kind of interesting and I don't have anyone to talk to about this stuff so yeah. Thanks for reading :]

I've read a few near death experiences where, contrary to the whole white light and afterlife thing, the dying know only a sense of immense peace and relief before falling to a black void. Thanks for sharing your story, it's always interesting to hear different accounts! Wishing you peace and the easing of your suffering

I had an attempt at 17, it was very well planned, lots of prescription sleeping pills (well over lethal dose). I remember how peaceful I felt knowing I was going to die. Your brain shuts up and you just know you are going to be free and there is no longer any need to worry. Unfortunately, I didnt properly go through my plans to do it in a local forest and instead did it impulsively in my mums bedroom, I was going to try and go back to my bed and hope she would just assume id fallen asleep. I underestimated how quickly I'd pass out and how my breathing would be affected so was found and taken to hospital. I am still chasing that feeling of peace many years later

I have not been in a situation where I have almost died, but in general, just thinking about death is comforting. When I am dead, I will be free of all suffering and I will never have to experience anything ever again. I hope when I actually die, I feel at peace in my last moments, knowing it is all coming to an end.

I had a near death experience before as well. I did not see my life flash before more eyes or have a sudden epiphany. All I could think was "oh well". Just a complete blank and neutral reaction to it all.

I am glad you shared your story with us. I always find near death experiences to be fascinating.
