That's right people, humanity, as a specie isn't actually smart, or intelligent as a whole. Average person isn't that far off a mere monkey when it comes to pure intelligence (putting on clothes doesn't really count as intelligence does it now?)

Time and time again, whenever I think about our specie advancing through technologies, getting breakthroughs in understanding the world around us, I can't help but notice how often, the things that do matter were made by OUTLIERS, neuro-divergent people, those who aren't included in the whole, the off-shoots of humanity.

Your average human person, is only one powerful and long lasting electricity outage from returning into the woods, and embracing the monkey lifestyle we once had, that's the cognitive, mental and intellectual capacity of your average human. Most of human members are even very eager to actually reject most of what they've learned through living in our society, and you can even see it whenever these apes speak within themselves, deeming all the knowledge crammed forcefully into them to be "worthless" and "meaningless" - and sure, yeah, we can discuss many perspectives on that matter, we can discuss how you can't choose what matters to you in schools yada yada, that's not the point, I'm not talking about it.

Then there is the aspect of civilization forming. I was reading and watching so much research on octopuses and was so amazed at their actual intelligence shown, how they behaved, their cognition and shit, it's amazing. And now I will say something out of the ass, but mostly for polarization and contrast:

Octopuses may be more intelligent than humans - hear me out on this one. You see this little fucker swim through the ocean, grab some fish, eat it, tear off it's dick and throw it towards one of their female specimen, play with rocks on the bed of the ocean, annoy some other fishes etc. You would think - NAH, NO THOUGHTS BEHIND THOSE CTHULULU LIKE EYES, but...What if it went actual full circle? All octopuses behave like they are the biggest introverts on earth, have problems with direct relationships with each other etc. basically, they all behave like neuro-divergents.

Now, one would think in turn - But Cease, you stupid fuck, why they didn't achieve civilization by the time they existed???

Well, because only species who are 99% retarded animals actually reach civilization. 99% of their bio-mass is bent on achieving comfort, fulfilling simple tasks, routines and not thinking about anything else other than their own pleasure, while the 1% of some outliers do the heavy lifting of actually...uplifting whole specie. So basically, the octopuses, may have already realized, being intelligent and what not "well, we have everything, and there is actually no point in doing anything since we already figured out the nature of reality, so fuck all, no civilization, and go fuck yourself with my dick *throw*"

Thank you for coming to my TED talk, cheers

TLDR; Humans are fucking retarded apes

I also dislike our race and love octopus. The more impressive thing is- they have to make it on their own. The mother octopus usually starves herself to death before her babies hatch. Debatable how 'smart' that is. Still, I wonder if that's why they are so smart. They either have to make the effort to learn themselves or, they die. I wish I had a pet octopus but, they don't live long.

This is why I hate most other neurodivergent people. Pseudo-intellectuals who believe having a label slapped on them makes them superior to everyone else.

Some might have an attitude, but I can assure you, behind that attitude mostly goes a world of struggle.
Being neurodivergent is really tough in general.

It's not even just neurodivergent people who are guilty of it. It seems as though even many neurotypicals do this type of shit as well. The only difference seems to be the fact that, at least from what I've seen, whenever I see neurodivergent people do it they tend to centre it around their neurodivergence. The funny thing is, depending on what conditions you are talking about, some traits associated with certain demographics of neurodivergent individuals actually exist within the general population. For example, many autistic traits, to my knowledge, exist along a continuum and can be seen to varying degrees within the allistic population. Autism is a diagnosis generally given to those who display most of the said traits on the severe end of the spectrum. Thus, making out being neurodivergent to be some sort of special unique thing that makes you superior to others kind of end up being pretty dumb when in some cases those traits can already be found in the general population.

I hate pseudointellectual bullshit all around. I guess it's expected since a lot of the people on this site are in their late teens and early 20s, but it's still pretty annoying.

Anyone centering their own "superiority" to others around single thing, be it a label they proudly flash around, or some sentiment built on their own thought processes is overall pretty lame, and as Jester stated, Doesn't happen within any single specific "group" of humans. Humanity overall is prone to behaviour such as this, everyone can close off their own minds in a false sense of superiority and for whatever reason they seem fit.

Albeit personally I started seeing that majority of humans today are absolutely convinced about one thing, which sort of includes some degree of this "superiority" complex we started talking about - the blind belief that if you only ingest "approved by someone else", someone with (still imaginary, just carrying more collective weight of importance from whole population) credentials - content, information, your knowledge and facts, and that you refuse to engage meaningfully with anything falling outside of that perceived credibility it means you are better from people who do engage with this content.

A false belief, held by many, a delusion of sorts that creates this particularly evasive case of ignorance. Also one that causes people to reject many types of knowledge, perspectives and understanding of things completely, not until someone says to them "oh it's okay, I said so" then suddenly it's called a "breakthrough" :)

I think, at the core if this whole topic - it's about ignorance itself, which is running very deep, within the roots of humanity. All of us are ignorant, some just choose actively to shed of it.
