The search function was surprisingly unhelpful, unless I'm missing something.
I'm looking for advice on practical things I can do to make it easier for those who will be stuck dealing with my estate after I die. I've heard nightmare scenarios where it's difficult for the estate to cancel subscriptions of the deceased because the company "need to speak to the owner of the subscription" even though the person is dead, so I want to at least avoid situations like that.
My current list includes things like cancelling my phone plan and gym membership, as well as making sure all my revolving credit is paid off. I might even provide some of my account login information for certain things to make access to my stuff easier (NOT my sasu account or social media, and not banks either since that is usually processed through official channels / probate. I mean things like my regular email account, just to make it easier for the estate).
Related question, would it be worth it to see a lawyer and get a will written? I'm "young" by most people's standards (late 20s), so I'm not sure if its worth raising suspicion over. I'm also not sure if it's worth my currently very low mental energy, since it seems complicated to set up through the proper channels.
