I thought about it, but it seems expensive. Is there a way I can possibly dig a grave and somehow put the dirt back but in a way no one suspects?

I had to google that. Well I live in the midwest. And how would a ferry help me?

If you got a ferry crossing you could fill a backpack with rocks or anything heavy and jump halfway across. Someone posted here about using it as their method.

Well the ferry will be moving for a start, I've no idea how long it'll take to stop. If you have a weighted backpack on you should sink preventing you from being rescued.

I wouldn't bother to much. As long as family doesn't find you it's ok i guess. You're death, who cares. And the like deep in the ocean is the only garantied option i can think of. Maybe also volcano stuff. Or a swamp...

You only have four base options.

The first is dying in a remote locale, such as a deep lake, out in the ocean, getting "lost" in a national park (people go missing and are never found there, often), or mountaineering where retrieval of a body is difficult.

The second is body destruction, such as self-immolation or rigging something to set a fire after you die. Perhaps explosives.

The third is "self-burial," jumping down a well or making a narrow shaft into a hill, then collapsing the tunnel in on yourself.

The fourth is a compatriot who would help tidy up after death.
