Method how necessary is a co meter when doing CO method in small bathroom?

contemplating the CO method and i would like to be pointed towards affordable co meters on amazon or know if anyone is planning on going without one because they have a low budget like me. i've only done surface level research on the method but i plan on doing some more later as a fallback if the sn ends up not coming in. what co meters have people bought while preparing for the method? sorry for the low effort post, i'm about to go to bed.

A CO analyzer would certainly add a level of confidence to the method. Just under $300 US is what I spent on one, including shipping and tax. Measures up to 10,000 PPM.

I'm also trying the CO method, but I don't think a measuring device is that important. You can tell it's working, for example, by the symptoms. You'll need a headache pill (maybe Ibuprufen) and sleeping pill (weak maybe Melatonin) and should then lie down in bed to sleep. There have already been several CO-related deaths again in Germany, but all around the globe too. Young UK teen couple died in a rental cabin. The girl had headaches and just took pills, then she got back to her cabin and died with her boyfriend.

I don't have money for a measuring device either. For my CO method, I'm going to use duct tape to seal the windows, door, and the two air vents. Then I'll burn a 6L camping petroleum stove (portable kerosen stove heater/ Petroliumofen) in the room.
