Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've had 3. Fortunately, I had two good endodontists and didn't have any pain or problems afterwards

I had one on a molar some
12 years ago. Received a temporary crown which I promptly broke because I didn't listen to the dentist.

Now I have an implant.

I've never had one. I haven't been to the dentist since 2006. They said I had good teeth then and they're fairly straight and decent looking so I won't bother with them again until I have a problem, which I haven't yet, knock on wood.

If you are going to have a root canal, they will put on a temporary crown which has a
"Life span".

Listen to the life span. Mine was 3 months, but it was in the middle of busy tax season so I figured I could wait.

Chomping on my French bread sandwich told me otherwise—crown broke and the tooth was, as my dentist said "a goner".

Que lots of agony over my lost tooth—I'm sitting in a surgeons chair as he drills into my head for $4k while he describes the $80k VW he recently purchased. Felt great ;). What kind of idiot spends $80k on a VW?

I love my implant but had I not eaten French bread with a temporary crown I would have been ok—well, my molar would have been ok.

GET A PERM crown ASAP is the lesson.

Implants are a wonderful invention but their cost and the fact that they DRILL into your head (I had sinus issues after) would make them a last resort (but prob better than a bridge in the long run).

Good luck

Uh, fillings can be done again and again. You don't need to go for a crown :/

I've had about 9 root canals I think

Like obviously if that shit's eaten away at the outer walls and all that, sure, you might need fillings more often, but crowns are expensive and shouldn't be taken into consideration unless there's very little structure to the tooth

NINE? Yes fillings can be done again and again, to a point—and that point is tooth loss.

Once the nerve is impacted it's a fools game. You need a crown.

Due for some. I shouldn't read this thread. What's the point keeping up this body....then again it would be nice to not have pain when I drink ice water or milk. Or have my guns swell up like clockwork every few months...

Yeahhh I need to not read this thread before I develop a dentist fear I don't have yet
