I believe that my creator, when they committed the act of creation, they have done with the greatest cruelty.
and to amend for their actions, have done with the greatest mercy. as they have made all eternities, they made sure they all are finite

that all of us in this path of penitence will some day, many lifetimes down. we will have the great mercy, and we shall return to the oblivion in which we came.
and for the sake of this mercy, each time we stride towards it we make a prayer for our creator, that this lifetime maybe the last

so that our creator may be less cruel to those their creation in the next eternity, for our misery, the eternal dream, are simply a means to their learning

but that's just me

My belief is similar to that of Philipp Mainländer (many of you here will know him). The world was a creation, whose destruction by God or something immense gave rise to everything in the universe. In this case, living beings, being sentient, may feel terror or flee from absolute annihilation. However, it is a necessary process leading to the ultimate end. Being powerless like that omnipotent primordial being or essence that wanted to cease "to be," we will want to cling to that eternity (through reproduction) and aspire to be like God (it sounds blasphemous). But deep down, humans have aspired or sought to be like that. Skyscrapers, spaceships, and scientific advances that help us age more slowly and live longer are those (useless) human aspirations to be like God. But just as in myths, the punishment will be existence itself and the fact that it is impossible to become like God (at least by that path). Death is destiny. What awaits us? Nothingness, paradise, the cruel joke of reincarnation... I don't know.
