hi im mana, and i am a chronic overthinker whos overly anxious at any given situation. How do I stop being anxious at things most people consider normal (like interacting with/meeting people, performing a task, etc.)? Theres like a dread that always follows me whenever i am to do such things (forced or not)

This is definitely anxiety. I have generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety; I've been through a lot of it, and I still do. Today I'm much better, but I still suffer a lot from social anxiety. Regarding thinking about things, I've learned that we should only think about today, about the present moment; tomorrow is another day. I know it's easy to say, but that's how it works. I have few friends; I know how to interact with people, but I'm very introverted. This makes me quieter and more reserved, and that's okay, I've accepted that it's my way, or rather, my disorder. Go to a doctor; it will help.

Counselling and therapy can definitely help, time and talking

An anxiety based group or individual therapy can help, I found I work better in groups to work on my anxiety stuff though because the pressure of preforming honestly helps.

I will always promote exposure therapy that is done right too after seeing how it's been beneficial towards me. My anxiety with some social situations has lowered a lot and if it isn't lowering I'm learning how to deal with it better. If you do it look into it because some therapists just throw you in the deep end and tell you to swim. It should be a gradual process.
