Personally, i found this site after a lot of research about methods, it's not easily accessible i guess.

most people seem to find it through googling methods. thats how i found the other site i was on, and then someone at that site mentioned this one and i figured id check it out. decided i liked it better here because the people here knew how to be adults and not argue about every little thing, for the most part. theres always the occasional person but sadly you cant completely avoid them. just figure out whos who then kick the bad ones out of your life. and thankfully this site has an ignore button. ive already had to use it a few times but the friends i made here are still worth it

I found it by googling how to hang yourself and looking at different sites. From what I remember it didn't take me long to find this site

googled methods but was put off by the 'call now!' suicide line ads
used duck duck go and one other guy used the exact same phrase I did. The post showed up in the results for my potential method, , I found the site, looked around and no-one was hurting me. So I stay after lurking for so long. It's the perfect safe-space I thought it was and it still is

I found it at a forum in deep web (portuguese version of Hidden Answers). I have been months and months looking for information about suicide and methods. Then I see an answer on the forum with the link. Just there.
I always thought that I would find something like that on deep web, not on surface.

I came here when Reddit shut down their suicide support group. So they can go eat a dick, but I'm glad to be here.

Was about to do the deed via partial suspension but save for tying tying the noose I actually had no idea what I was doing so I plugged it into duckduckgo and here I am. I see folks mentioning r/suicidewatch which is interesting because i've hung around their a bit but I guess I never dove deep enough through their resources to find it. Guess I thought it would be a bunch of preachy nonsense. Glad this site isn't like that though, only place on the internet it feels like that treats you with dignity.

literally was googling methods after i failed something abt a year ago. when i went on the first time it freaked me out a bit but i ended up finding myself coming back after a while. ive been lurking since abt last year too tbh.

I found the reddit and for a couple of months lurked around, when it got shut down other reddits started talking about the disappearance and someone mentioned that they had a link for the website that was created (here!), and thus my old account was born! I think it has been a year or more now?

Google is just annoying with all the hotline numbers and charity websites it brings up.

First time I found SS was on duck duck go while researching methods, found it again while looking for more methods a few months later, after I'd failed an attempt

I was Googling sodium nitrite when I learned it was a method used to commit suicide. Google brought up quite a few links from this site, so then I clicked them. The rest is history.

It's been a huge blessing for me, even though I haven't been here long and don't really have friends yet. It just feels so good to be with people who understand.
