How deep might one need to go in order to cut up the radial artery? Would a kitchen knife suffice for attempting something like that? Not entirely sold on this idea, curious for now.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do NOT recommend cutting as a way out. Not solely because of the pain, but because it's always turns out badly, people survive it and get even worse after they do. If you're so determined to die by cutting then cut your brachial artery. Unconsciousness should set in only 15 seconds if the cut directly hits the brachial artery. Death will follow soon after in about a minute or two.

how to locate it:
( https:// youtu.be/XE6PXy4gpwg?si=5eo0Rp0wIMwbnP0e ) delete the empty space then paste it

Reasons why I don't recommend cutting at all:

1. Your brain will stop you from reaching any deeper if the cut doesn't actually hit a major artery.

2. Really painful.

3. If you fail then you'd end up with some nerve damage and then you won't be able to use your arm properly.

4. It's bad for you obviously, but in all seriousness. Don't gotta give yourself that pain, it's a horrible way to die.
Read more about SN or buy fent to OD on. Much more painless.

Sorry for not answering the question, but as lunar has said above, and as I have been told by many, I sincerely believe that cutting is NOT the way to go. I heard somewhere, I forget where, so I'm not sure how true it is (though it has sold me on absolutely not resorting to cutting for CBT) that based on forensics, people who do end up successfully dying from cutting probably regretted choosing that method. Something to do with evidence suggesting that there was a lot of hesitation and multiple failed attempts at reaching radial arteries, and something about signs that the individual panicked before they died, and that on a semi related note, this is how forensics specialists usually come to the conclusion on whether or not the person had killed themselves or was murdered (panic signs indicate suicide and vice versa).
