It's time to have a clear out,
gonna have a New Year blitz,
and do away with everything
that makes my life the pits.
What's this lying here then
amongst the crap and grime?
Ah yes it's Misery,
who demands most of my time.
Lurking in the corner
with fear etched in her eyes,
Deceit is wrapped 'round Fairytales,
but I see through her lies.
Anger won't stop screaming,
so she's not hard to find,
and Love is roaming aimlessly:
I suspect that's 'cause she's blind.
Woe won't leave without a Tear,
so I bag the two as one,
and Laughter left so long ago,
I never realised she'd gone.
Anguish begs, please let me stay,
you'll needing me around,
when all you know has left you,
I'll be here for your rebound.
Now as cobwebs hang and sway,
there's no time left to mope...
out with the old, and now behold,
my new found best friend ~ Hope.
