Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

So the holidays happened and we all eat like garbage over the holidays. I am no exception. However, today I found myself having the strongest craving for things like carrots or a nice slad. The last month was great but I am so tired d of feeling bloated and just generally gross from the sheer amount of sugar and other carbs I have consumed. I am eating salads and wraps with veggies this week to hopefully feel better.

Ia there anything y'all do to help recover from the holidays?

I like salads... I'd eat them more often, but many times the food that is less tasty and less good for you is cheaper by far.

Also, many salad ingredients spoil fast... so I either have to pay even more for small quantities... or I have to eat salad every day for a week... and get tired of it in the process. As a single person it isn't always cost-effective to make salads at home even though I would really like to eat them more often than I do. A good salad is hard to beat.

If I am really on a salad kick, I will get the big containers of salad mix and I manage to eat the whole thing in a week. I usually make some sort of chicken to put on top.

It is unfair that the containers of nice, healthier greens are more expensive and therefore less accessible to people. My family did not have a lot of money when I was young, and I remember merely getting fresh greens up until I was a teenager. We always ate our vegetables out of a can.

I have gotten those containers of mixed greens. Between that and tomatoes it's usually a race to eat them by myself in a week unless I'm eating at least a meal a day using them... I can do a salad a day for a few days in a row, but I need to break up the monotony sometimes and one skipped day can be a wasted meal. Basically it's a race once you unseal the greens and cut into the tomato to finish before they become inedible.

Now, I do sometimes get the salad kits that have most of the fixings inside and then get a container of those grape tomatoes and if I just get 3-4 salads I can skip a day or two and make those work. But those cost more than the raw ingredients, so I wait for them to be on sale.

And yeah... I keep pointing out to people how processed canned vegetables are somehow cheaper than fresh raw vegetables. It's crazy that it is true.
