Help Holding breath till you pass out

What happens if you empty all the air in your lungs and stop breathing, how does it feel?
What happens if you keepi going? Do you loose consciousness? What are the stages?

Discomfort will set in and get worse each second until you take a breath again.

As long as you are able to stop you are not going to pass out that way.

Yeah even if you reach being unconscious you'll just start automatically breathing.
