Helium

I've been looking into using helium as a method. Where you combineit with a bag (oven bag) a band around the neck. The idea being the inert gases causes suffocation in a calm manner.

The only helium kit I can find online seems to be a combination of helium 79% 21% oxygen. Is this still useful for this method?

No, you need pure helium. Alternatively you can use nitrogen or another inert gas with the bag.

There is currently a helium shortage, so trying to buy any would cost way more than any other inert gas. And as Serenity said, you would need pure helium.

Nitrous oxide would be my go to for an inert gas.

Bonus: drug induced sleep.

I haven't heard of a shortage (maybe country related?). As for 'pure' helium: the best I've seen was 99,998%.

You might be able to find pure Helium. Certain industries use it.
The issue might be that you will have to get a cylinder....one that might be costly (100-300 usd).
Its the cylinder itself that is costly.
Other than this, the procedure is the same regardless if its helium or another inert gas.
