Have you ever seen someone so beautiful to the point where it made you cry? That happened to me at least 3 times now. I'm ok looking not ugly so not about jealousy or wishing I was them. More like appreciating the aesthetic of their appearance. It's so weird.

absolutely! beauty is the thing i believe in. im an atheist. when something is so beautiful it hits that sad nerve, when i fall in love the object is so beautiful to me its unbearable.. thats part of the reason why i couldnt bare being close to loved ones when i was actively suicidal. it was too painful.. love\pain beauty\sadness life\death..

btw studying philosophy of aesthetic is fascinating (beauty in art for example) sounds like you would find it interesting.

I've adored people who have idealistic faciall features that I deem attractive.
The closest thing I've ever thought about is having offsprings with them.
I guess it's self-loathing in a way, but perspectives of beauty is objective,
so I guess at end of the day it doesn't really matter.
