Wish there was a big enough firework to ctb with tonight & send me into the sky forever, hearing all these fireworks and loud banging.

I used to love it as a kid. Now...loud noises, even less sleep, frightened cats and dogs, and the street and filed full of used fireworks that don't get cleaned up.

I thought that too, but it says in the article After that, it suddenly exploded and killed him at the scene.

Must have been somewhat quick but painful if it was not instant.
