gun range suicide

I was planning on ctb at a gun range but I'm under 21 so I can't rent out a pistol. I'm also gonna go with a friend.

I've never handled firearms before so I'm not sure how easy it'll be to quickly shoot myself with a rifle.

It's a terrible CTB plan, IMO.

You're surrounded by probably at least a dozen people, if not more, who will immediately react to your attempt. That means they might stop you before you can get a shot off. At the very least, if you do shoot yourself, people will immediately begin providing first aid to you [I guarantee you a gun range has multiple first aid kits and staff likely have basic first aid training] and will call 911.

You're also going to traumatize everyone who's there, which I think is completely unethical. Your own suicide could lead to a lifetime of trauma for people and even make them kill themselves.

I thought about this method too. I was going to go to a country like on that show dark tourist where anyone can just go and do this. But doing the whole thing by myself would be a really intimidation mission.

Sorry, I'm sorry you're struggling but I don't think it's fair taking someone with you, even if you only kill yourself on a later solo visit, they'll find out and will not only feel used but develop a guilt complex.

My personal hope is that euthanasia will be available to me some how, some where, but it's probably me being optimistic, which is a rare thing for me. Suicide is beyond hard. But euthanasia would be a walk in the park in comparison.

Oh and btw I've never held a rifle before but from what I've seen, most are too long to be able to aim at yourself, unless your goal is to shoot yourself in the foot??

I would not recommend this method. It doesn't sound like you've ever been to a gun range before, but the instructors are over your shoulder watching you like a hawk the entire time. There's a video online somewhere where someone points a gun at their head as a joke, and they INSTANTLY get tackled.

Besides that, even if you somehow managed to be faster than the instructor, the bullet would likely travel through your skull and hit the people next to or behind you. You risk also killing your friend, and even if they survive, they will spend the rest of their life traumatized after watching you kill yourself (and likely other people) right in front of them.
