I was driving home at 1 in the morning and making a left, 2 minutes from my house, and this dude runs the red, slamming me head on. The car is completely trashed. The front is completely caved in, airbag deployed, debris all over the street.

And bitterly, the first thought I had when I walked out of the car, able bodied, not even so much as a bruise was, "FUCK, I'm still alive." Not that I'm not grateful to have my health, and I know it's not as simple as all or nothing, but this is just the last thing I need right now.

Now I gotta deal with all this shitty insurance shit. Get a lawyer. Get a yet another car after having just got this one after the one before got beyond economic repair. Missing work. Probably a bunch of other shit I'm forgetting since I've never been in this situation before.

Really thought about walking home from the wreck and just taking the SN but I was on a full stomach and the vomiting would've woke my roommate.

I totally get that.

I've had seizures in my sleep recently [waiting to see a neurologist about that shit] and both times when I woke up post-seizure, I was disappointed that it hadn't killed me in my sleep.
