So if you've read any of my previously boring posts about house clearing, you'll know I've been trying to do it since mid July 21. Being quite depressed, it's been a feat with many journeys to the local tip, donations to clothes banks and to charity stores.

I became upset when I felt I was getting nowhere with this, so I googled free house clearance and there are several charities in my country which will do this as long as your sofa, settle, chairs, beds have fire retardant labels on them, so a well.known charity is coming next Thursday for a home assessment visit to see what they can take. This is a relief ..such a relief. The only thing they won't take is my nearly new gas cooker. Not sure why. Only electric cookers for them.
They are also taking rugs, art, wardrobes, curtains, clothes, books, guitar, nearly new bike, kayak etc, exercise machine ...well a lot.
They won't be taking it until early October as I have a date in mind to CTB and need a bed to sleep on before then!!
I rent and know my landlord would want my house cleared in a week so I'm just trying to speed up that process for my family. I'll get a key cut for the charity and they can get my stuff the day after I've gone.

I am. If my sister had not died, it would not have even occurred to me to clear my house out for my family. But being traumatised by clearing my sister's house out meant I didn't want to put my family through this.
It just means I can focus on other things.

At least that is one less thing you have to take care of. I understand that tasks like getting rid of things can be difficult when you are depressed. I hope you find the peace you are looking for.
