• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Can anyone recommend any decent forums? I'm looking for something oriented towards adults, not necessarily 18+ in nature, but definitely accepting of it. Ideally, said forum would be a bit more general in topic, and be a space for creative work, such as art and writing. I'd like it to have the 'small community' feel which we have here as well. I have fond memories of using forums back in the 90's and early 00's so it makes me a little sad that they've all been replaced by toxic social media like facebook, twitter, reddit, and discord. I feel like forums are designed in such a way to actually facilitate discussion and keep things just anonymous/impersonal enough that you can decently talk to people. Within modern social media reddit is the only thing that comes close, but it's full of karma-whores, trolls, and censorship.

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks SS.

Edit: I should clarify, this is for my regular internet interactions, I won't be leaving SS.

Reddit has an astonishing system of subreddits, Im sure you can find exactly what you're looking for on there :)
I know you said "...they've all been replaced by toxic social media like facebook, twitter, reddit, and discord" but forums get shared on there specifically to the topic of the subreddit
