• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I had a wonderful chat with my mum, about the philosophical side of suicide, and what I thought were the possibilities of what came next. For the first time ever, I felt that despite the sadness she would feel if I were gone, she understood my view that there were possibly better places I could be. Whether there are, I don't know, but it was almost as if she understood that rationally, this wasn't death, it was a transition to potentially something else. Just some thoughts if people were thinking of trying to lessen pain for others.

I've come to the same understanding with my mom. Glad having this discussion worked out for you.

How old are you, I try telling my mum that I'm gonna kill myself so she won't be surprised when it happens. She also religious, I don't wanna do it in the house cos she probably believes in ghosts or something

I'm 36. I think that this should not be a last minute chat before CTB, but building up the layers of how you feel, up to what you feel may happen afterwards, in order for them to feel that this is not the end of you...if that makes sense

I don't think I'd be able to talk about suicide like that with my mother. I dunno, she cares about me, but I just don't have that kind of bond with anyone, my mother included. I do talk about it with my therapist though and then she talks to my mom. I just hate talking in general.

Yes there is an afterlife but the physical this is where destiny is made, this is the best place to learn and grow as a conscious being. This is the best plane of existence to overcome and become something. If you don't learn your lessons in this life your next reincarnation could be a lot harder. Which means you should exhaust all options before ending your existence here. You need to figure out how you and life works. You need too seek tools that will liberate you so that you can become your best self. If not you know where the nearest rope is.

I'd probably just get locked inside a asylum and a straight jacket.

You have great courage, and I most pleased that you have some of the support needed. When that support, (communication, and understanding) comes from a family member much of the stress is alleviated...smile. Way to go!

Either I'm dismissed or I'm not taken seriously. They won't get it until they see my cold dead body.

Although I wouldn't want my mother to be scared because of my past suicide attempts, I'm sure her motherly instincts would kick in and do her best to try to stop me from committing suicide, since I'm older now she kind of just brushes it off but gives me strong hints that she would also kill herself if anything like that happened to her children, so I dont think I would ever want me mother (or anyone for that matter) to know I killed myself, or find my body... this is why I would go through with it in a very secluded place (wilderness, mountains, middle of the ocean, etc)
