The final exit network in the US uses helium with and exit bag and claims it's guaranteed and peaceful. They even have people from the organization that will come to your house while do it to It also applies to people that are not terminal but suffering from other physical ailments. Unfortunately it does not include mental illness, so I'm on my own. But figured it may help others in the US. Here is the website. They also have a book you can buy with instructions for the helium method.

This is really interesting, thanks for sharing! Your description at first made me think they provide materials or take an active role, but they don't; they're very clear that they don't administer anything or take part in the death process (understandably, since that would put them at major risk of legal issues).

"If you apply and are accepted for guide support, you will be assigned guides who will evaluate your circumstances, support you in initiating difficult conversations with your closest loved ones, work with you in planning a responsible self-deliverance, and, if the guides are comfortable with your situation, they will provide information and education so that you can safely end your life if and when you choose. In the future, if you decide you want to end your life, the guides can be with you for companionship, if you wish."

Still, it's a really unique and important organization, as they provide information that can help you form your own plan, and even have someone who can be with you for companionship so you don't have to spend your last moments completely alone. I'm sure they have to walk a fine line with these things still and they can only be done in specific ways, but it's definitely something I'm keeping in mind now.

They accept physical illnesses that majorly impact quality of life, including cases where there's multiple less severe illnesses that add up to a poor quality of life. You just need to have medical records that document your illnesses.

Thank you for explaining it in greater detail.

Sounds like a dream. In my country it wiil take ages for some thing like that to be formed. Any way i wont qualify because my medical condition is to controversial and hard to diagnose and i can survive 10 years in this condition. No one will care about my mentality going unbdarable.

Do you have to be a certain age/prove anything to buy the book?

It's on Amazon so there is no age checking.

You have to get the updated downloadable version on the website. It's still lacking in many ways to attempt to successfully complete the method. I learned that after reading about exit bag in here.

I did apply to final exit and was denied. They are admittedly pretty strict. It's a delicate mission they have for obvious reasons. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable doing exit bag without assistance after what I've read in here. But then again maybe the descriptions in the book will be enough for others.
