Italy was absent from the contest for 13 years because of some political bullshit. The winner of the 2001. San Remo contest is my favorite song that should've but didn't make the contest. Sorry if it doesn't count but fuck politics.

San Remo contest is my favorite song that should've but didn't make the contest.

My favourite that didn't make it is this quite camp 1, despite it doing really well on Swedish charts (and ours, for that matter, I remember it got a lot of airplay in the UK at one point)
