what are some of your favorite album covers? here's my favorite at the moment, the album is you won't get what you want by daughters. i think it's so pretty to look at, and like, to me, i see it as a visualization of a figure who's either lost their mind or is suicidal.

Understated masterpiece. Bleak. Dark and haunting. Nico and John Cale successfully achieved creating a new world and ambience with this recording.
I have first pressings of her weirdest shit (love, love, love "The Marble Index") And this vinyl was the only version to have a textured sleeve.
The cover is a shot from "La Cicatrice Interieure"(The Inner Scar) directed by Philippe Garrel. Again, another world.Attachments

Also, not a favorite album cover, but rather a ritual I have with a specific album.
Whenever I go to a record store, I locate every copy of this record (there's always at least one):
and I slide it up, so that Lionel Richie's sensual gaze is just peeking out from amidst the records, like

I used to be a big time vinyl collector, I still have them all. I loved going to record fairs searching out rarities, it was a ritual to go up the town on days off to buy the latest releases. I also used to dodge school and go and hang out at the record shops and spend the day walking around the city centre until it was time to go home.
Led Zeppelin always produced great covers, some had a novelty aspect.
The Stones sticky fingers is an iconic cover with the real zip on it.
Sgt Peppers was ground breaking, like the music within.

Every time I see that album cover with the Faith Tones, I'm simply astonished by the left woman's hair. I like to imagine it's just actually just a really thin layer covering the weirdest head shape ever seen in a human.
