i have been a hikikomori for most of my life, due to health issues at a young age forcing me to drop from school + restrictive parents and a fragile relationship with family, i struggle a loooot with social interaction and dealing with the outside world, am clumsy to an extreme degree, even though am 24 years old, i am mentally 5 years old in regards to social interaction and dealing with the outside world, my sister tried to convince dad to get me a gym subscription, i was supposed to go with my nephew, she thought of it in hopes of me being able to be around strangers, get used to it, and maybe learn how to talk and interact with people, but dad refused saying my health is not good yet (he's very wrong) he just worries too much about me.

like for fuck's sake this year i ended up being lost in a different city, i did not even know how to ask for a taxi ride or where to go to get it or what to do to get it, am so clueless, it's not even funny

If this is so shameful then maybe people would just let us die? We could call it "Euthanasia", it comes from greek, meaning a "good death". If somebody doesn't want to live, they would be allowed to die with some peaceful drug, and everybody would get a chance to say goodbye.

I never got to develop good social skills because of various reasons, like moving a lot and being bullied for things I cannot change or I didn't even cause, but still I'm blamed for everything. I'm not gonna put my life story here.

Hiding the problem, delaying the problem. Has anybody tried solving the problem, the fundamental causes for why things like this happen? This helplessness is there for a reason. I'm so tired of this world.

I'm usually not this sarcastic, sorry!

Have you considered contacting social services? I don't know what services you have in your area but, where I live there's a whole programme to help disabled people get used to going out and about. You practice going places like to the shops or bank or whatever and they tag along with you stepping in when you need help. You do it over and over again until you're confident going out like that, and if you were to have a health issue they'd step in and make sure you're okay. I'm sure this sort of service could allow them to tag along with you to the gym. An occupational therapist could also do that sort of thing I'd imagine.

Obviously your dad might still be against it, but since your local council will be involved it will be harder for him to reject it. He might be more open to it since the carer would have first aid training or whatever. It depends on what your area offers but it could be something to look into. At the very least your social services should come up with some sort of care plan to help you integrate with society if that's what you want. The Government would rather you be out and about then at home. Your father wouldn't be able to just say no to them.

Not trying to be preachy or insensitive, just throwing around some ideas, it seems like something that could help if you are wanting to try that sort of thing. Obviously ignore me if you're not interested, it's perfectly fine to not want that sort of thing.
