Exit bag construction help

Hiya

Trying to figure it out but elastic cording the exit bag is tough!

I've seen all the Getting it Done with videos and such but I'm trying to figure out how that actually looks/what is being done with the bag. How to fold and cut the holes for example to thread the string through.

Do you fold the edges of the bag around the opening or the opening itself? (One of my questions for example)

Yes, I'm stupid. But I've already got the gas and everything I just need to figure the logistics out. I would hope to make the few hundred I've spent xount

P.s. the hose I got for my bag is a cool that retracts to default when not held. I can experiment with ways to hold it in and probably figure something out but tips with that would be really nice!
Anyways if anyone asks these questions are for an experiment involving ants in a vivarium built from a hollow mannequin head. Nothing shady to see here :)

so to make an exit bag, you just use normal tape on the fold to create a hem. Then insert a stretchy cable, leaving a little space for co2 to leave and for the tube for the gas?
