Generally as long as you have a source for CO (usually charcoal, propane, or a car) and a semi-sealed volume it should work.

I'm confused on how you tell if a tent is usable for the CO charcoal method. Like will these cheap emergency tents work? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BKGGY7JP
You will want a tent with a thickish bottom and a bottom that goes as high as possible.
The higher and thicker the bottom is the more CO that will be able to build up faster at the bottom since you will be laying down in the tent.
If you have a porous tent the CO will end up just leaking out faster. You will want a tent with as little mesh as possible.

That emergency tent may work, Not sure tbh since there are not many images of it fully zipped up.
but reading the comments it is good for one use only so if you back out of the plan you may need to buy a new one.
Other comments were showing condensation building up on the inside and almost no ventilation which is good for charcaol.

I have a thick grow tent that can be made just about airtight. Only problem is it's inside. I guess if I'm serious taking the smoke/CO monitors off the ceiling is easy.
