How many volts does it take to be killed and would it be a quick death?

it varius from person to person, depending on your skin risisttance where the pads are etc etc don't tho it's vary painful and your not likely to die from household power unless you put yourself in line with an aplience (cutting a lead to the fridge and holding each end in opisitee hands) but your muscles would spazz and you would drop it

The electric chair has about 2000 volts and can put out anywhere from 5 to 12 amps... And there are cases where it takes about 15 minutes for the person to die. If you don't die instantly you're probably just gonna fry to death. Shitty method
