I am opening this discussion because I have a doubt that is gripping me, the pinned thread says that the stability of SN is 3 years but other sources that I have consulted speak of indefinite duration, that is, if not forever, a time so long as to exceed that of the average life span and therefore not be a problem.

Because I find myself in the situation that I have just bought SN but the suicidality is decreasing, that is, I would not want to become suicidal again in the future and in the meantime SN has expired and maybe the source where I got it closes and therefore I lose the method having to resort to something more brutal.

For now I keep some in a sachet that is not hermetically sealed, then maybe I will post photos, but I have transferred a little bit into an airtight container, a little more than the dose needed to kill, my source sells an exaggerated quantity at a modest price so I find myself with a lot of SN.

The stability of it is established even though there isn't a clear time frame of when it starts to degrade and how much. You can store it sealed as airtight as possible, away from heat and light and live your life. Do a test if and when you need to use it in the future or buy a new one if it's avaliable at that time.

Mine also arrived in a cardboard package, inside which there was a plastic bag sealed with a ribbon, containing a large amount of SN. Although the bag is not hermetically sealed, the product is tightly packed inside the package. I bought it three months ago, and it is still in its original packaging, which, although simple, has remained closed in a cool drawer, in the dark, and without direct exposure to sunlight.
The packaging indicates a purity of 99%, which was also confirmed by the seller, who sent me the technical documentation of the product, showing the distributor and the 1% of impurities present. However, I am waiting for a friend of mine to test it soon.
I believe that under these optimal conditions, degradation is minimal or almost nonexistent, but I can't say for sure, as I am not a chemist. Most likely, it's just paranoia or anxiety related to its shelf life, the need to repurchase it, and the fear that suppliers might shut down, making it difficult to obtain again.
