Method Drowning, and is it a viable method?

I plan to get a heavy object (something that'll sink fast in water), swim out into a deep lake, and drop the object. I will have no going back. ill probably take a sedative to calm the panic. is this a viable method? of course it would work, but i want to see you guy's thoughts on it.

If the object is heavy enough to pull you down you won't be able to swim with it. If you can get it out there on an inner tube then drop it off the it might actually work. Make sure you can't fight your bindings off because you will fight like hell.
