Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I am estranged from my adult children. (No I never abused them in any way.) I will not go into that long sad story but this is the reason I am such a mess.

I recently executed a new will which disinherits them completely. I have written detailed instructions of assets, accounts, etc., for the beneficiary/executor.

I want to tell that person not to contact my children when I die. I see no reason to notify them.

Your thoughts?

All I can say is that it is your wish and you are in all the rights to see it fulfilled, especially since it doesn't hurt anyone. I don't understand why you want that, but I don't wish to know anyway, I don't judge.

Honestly, I would do the same.

I wish you love and peace.

Who is your legal next of kin?

For me, it's my parents. I don't want them to know as we are mutually and permanently estranged, but there's just no way around it for me (please no one derail the OP's thread with kind suggestions, I've already worked through it, it's just how it is).

I think it different if it's a parent or a child that stays behind. When my real father died, me nor my sister where notified. But I guess it's different in each country.

Was your father married?
