I have this weird thing where rainy and snowy weather help lift my depression a little, whereas bright sunny days can make me feel more depressed. I know that's totally backwards but it's a good thing I live in Ohio, I guess. Does the weather affect your mood at all? If so, what weather makes you more/less depressed?

Neutral when it comes to snow. It's currently snowy outside just stopped like a couple minutes ago. I like it honestly. People say it makes them depressed for me it's neither. Sometimes I do enjoy it.

Warm weather for me sucks. I hate everything about it. From the constant sweating to everything. Warm weather is only good when youre like at the beach if you ever decide to go which isn't an everyday thing.

Definitely :,) I too also feel less depressed during rainy, cloudy or snowy days. For me personally, they're much more comforting, wheras when it's sunny it's just,,, idk it feels off, which makes me feel sadder. Nice to know I'm not the only one like this ^^

i have a big problem with sunlight (break out in hives after a few mins) and hot weather is like torture to me. im so much happier in the cold and grey. i can layer as much as i need no matter how cold it gets but i can't exactly take my skin off when it gets hot

i live in the pacific northwest so half the year is rainy and cloudy and sometimes i like it because it makes me feel comforted but i wont lie, something about this time of year is cursed or something because i find myself closer to active suicidal ideation in the fall/winter

Mine is worse on sunny days/ summer.
It's supposed to be "beautiful" but I just find it annoying. It's bright (I have sensory issues), hot, everyone is outside. I grew up in a rainy place, so I find that more comforting.
Now that I think of it, the cold kind of pisses me off too, but I prefer the colder months to warmer ones.

I've been like this ever since i was a kid LOL. Whenever I hear the sound of heavy rain there's a tiny spark of joy in my heart. Sometimes i remember biking at the local park as a little kid in the skatepark with my friends and acting as if we were driving speedboats LOL! I'm thankful I don't have my birthday or any special event in the winter so I can calmly enjoy it. Snow brings fond memories back for me. I woke up really sad because of stress today but hearing the rain hitting my window hard is helping me cope (it just started, what a coincidence!)

Personally I feel the most energy if it's sunny and warm and if there are clear skies. Not necessarily hot weather though. I enjoy the sound of rain and I find it quite calming, but I dislike being out in the rain and getting wet, especially if it's raining heavily. Visually, I like snow and I like how it feels beneath my feet, but I very much hate icy streets.
In general I feel better mentally if it's anywhere from spring to summer. In autumn and especially winter, I experience seasonal depression and my energy and motivation levels are at their lowest, and any negative thoughts might also get stronger for me around this time. I've always hated how quickly it gets dark in winter.
